Le Havre was almost completely rebuilt after World War II. The unusual concrete architecture of Le Havre, designed by Auguste Perret, has resulted in the city centre becoming a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005. Highlights of Le Havre include the Perret show flat, impressive modern art museum and picturesque marina and beach. It is also an important cross-Channel ferry port and the largest container port in France.

Zeebrugge is a Belgian port and seaside resort. It's linked to the city of Bruges by the Baudouin Canal. The old fish market in the marina houses Seafront, a theme park focusing on the local seafaring and fishing heritage. Exhibits include a Russian submarine. In nearby Knokke-Heist, the For Freedom Museum evokes the area’s WWII history through dioramas. West along the coast are the De Fonteintjes wetland and dunes.

The two cruise terminals for Copenhagen are situated approx ten minutes journey time by bus or train to Central Station in the centre of Copenhagen.

This popular German seaside resort with a Hanseatic medieval history. It is also the handy for a trip to Berlin 152 miles away which is the reason why the ship remains in port for so long. Warnemunde is also close to Rostock where City Hall and the St Marien Church are well worth a visit..

Aarhus is a city in Denmark on the Jutland peninsula’s east coast. Den Gamle By is its old town open-air museum, with centuries-old timbered houses. Nearby are the greenhouses of the Aarhus Botanical Garden. In the center, the multistory ARoS art museum shows global contemporary works. The underground Viking Museum explores early local history. Nearby, Aarhus Cathedral has restored 14th- to 16th-century frescoes.
