Stateroom accommodation

While the cabins on Grandeur have a dated look and feel to them, they are loaded with built-in storage that makes it easier to travel in rooms smaller than what you’d find on newer ships in the fleet. Adapters to add additional charging outlets are a must-bring item for most guests, as there is only one available U.S. 110v outlet and one European two-prong outlet. There are no USB outlets.Rooms on Grandeur lean heavily toward those in the budget categories, with 399 interior and 381 oceanview cabins. Balcony cabins make up only 22% of the staterooms, far fewer than on newer ships. Of the 216 staterooms with balconies, 72 are Junior Suites. There are no solo cabins on Grandeur.

Dining options

The Main Dining Room: Great Gatsby (Decks 4 and 5): Passengers choose between traditional early or late dining times or My Time Dining when they book their cruise. Upon boarding, each stateroom sea pass card will show the chosen dining option, along with the deck they have been assigned to. Traditional diners will also be assigned a table number. My Time guests can reserve a set time for each evening either via the cruise line app once onboard or in person with the maître ‘d.

Daytime and evening entertainment

The main theatre on Grandeur is The Palladium, with typical combination chair and couch seating spread across Decks 5 and 6, forward. Drink service was adequate, but the casino bar on Deck 5 provided an adequate backup plan. Entertainment consists primarily of headliner acts of comedians or jugglers and musical production performances by the ship’s entertainers. Reservations are not required. Most shows are performed twice per night, timed so that both early and late diners can attend.
